Dooks Beach is a lovely sandy sheltered beach just 3 miles from Glenbeigh village and 12 miles from Killorglin just off the Ring of Kerry Road. Its most famous for its club logo a smiling frog and perhaps sets the tone for what is considered to be one of the more player-friendly links golf courses in Ireland. Dooks Golf Club is among the oldest clubs in Irish golf set up originally as a 9 hole links in 1889 an additional 9 holes were opened in 1970.
