In May 1968 East Cork Golf Club was founded when Eamonn Moloney and his wife Peg decided to evict their prize dairy herd and convert their farm into a golf course.
The first location was at Rathcooney Hill above Glanmire village. Golfing in East Cork. Golf Club Management. Water Rock Golf Course is located on the outskirts of Midleton just 15 minutes drive east of Cork City off the N25 main Cork Waterford Road 20 minutes drive from Cork Airport and only 5 minutes from Fota Golf Club.
