Mk5 Golf Ignition Barrel Wont Turn. 20210123 Tried to turn it on after 5 minutes the key turns only one position. If i were you try cleaning it out get a pin or something that can pick through the ignition and get yourself a can of compressed air and spray the shit out of it.
You will need to remove the stalk switches to replace the whole assembly. 20110711 Issue with MK5 Golf GTI. Can turn the steering wheel and Key isnt worn.
I think its 2008.
This unlocks the steering wheel on most vehicles. Any ideas whats wrong. Just keep jiggling the steering wheel back and forth pump the brakes a few times and gently turn the key. Most newer vehicles will lock the steering wheel if you turn the wheels without the key in the ignition.
