St Andrews Golf Competitions. In modern times the Dunhill Cup and the subsequent Dunhill Links Championship have been played at St Andrews since 1985 while the Walker Cup the Amateur Championship and a host of other professional and amateur competitions for men and women have been held over the fabled links at the Home of Golf. The Old Course will once again host The Royal and Ancient Golf Clubs historic Local Clubs Gold Medal Competitions this weekend.
After Round 2 and the conclusion of the Competition the Runner-up with a 36-hole aggregate scratch score of 142 72 and 70 was Gary Sharp of The St Andrews Golf Club. The Competition Ticket allows members to play in the Clubs weekly competitions excluding social golf. It was wonderful to welcome an impressive 140 young golfers to the St Leonards Tom Morris Championships on Wednesday 2 October 2019 on the Eden Strathtyrum and Balgove courses in St Andrews.
Regarded as the Strokeplay Championships of St Andrews the Mens and Womens competitions will be played on Sunday 30th August 2020.
